If you search some of the viva threads here on TA, you'll find some of the best parties are VIVA related. Temporal Rhythm/Itikia/Swamper and company have been doing a phenomenal job bringing such great talent to Viva.
I've been going to Viva forever now and even when it was known as Skool. It's so awesome to see Viva becoming the club it is now. I thought I'd never see the day that Viva bring in such talents like Talla 2XLC, Marco V, Scott Bond, Johan Gielen, Dj Sakin, Fergie, Jon the Dentist, Orkidea ,John 00 fleming , etc...INSANITY!!! 
The club is in Markham so the crowd is predominantly asian, so if you're asian like me it's amazing. If you're not asian, then I can understand how someone can feel out of place. To be honest, I've always had a great time there and everyone has been friendly as hell to me. If you go there with an open mind, you'll definately have a great time. I said a long time ago that Viva has THE BEST music in town, bar none and it's true. Lately it's been very refreshing to see so many non-asians there as well partying it up. Viva has been getting some real positive reviews and it's nice to see  thanks to all the hard work of everyone involved bringing in such great talents. Some of the best nights of my life are at Viva.
However, that being said, there's still ONE thing that pisses the hell out of me at Viva. I hate the fact that there's always a group of 40-50+ year old asian mommies and daddies there all cracked out and shit. It's disgusting to see  , I'm asian myself and imagine how us asian clubbers feel seeing them there and how it makes us feel .
But I guess there's nothing you can do about it, because the mommies and daddies are the ones keeping watch on the drug traffic that goes on at these kinda clubs. 
But besides that, every Friday nights are lotsa fun . Although you gotta be careful because it is all ages except certain areas. I've gotten lucky with some sweet asian hunnies there before but there are times I definately have to ask for their age to make sure.
