Wie Medien berichteten, lag Iraty in einem Erstligaspiel der Meisterschaft des Landes Paraná zur Halbzeit mit 1:4 gegen Prudentópolis zurück, als Vereinspräsident Sergio Malucelli in die Kabine lief und den Tormann laut anschrie: «Sie sind am Debakel allein schuld».
Danach sei Marco Antonio entlassen und zum Verlassen des Stadions aufgefordert worden. Laut Medien waren dem Tormann in den ersten 45 Minuten tatsächlich «einige Fehler» unterlaufen. Besonders schlecht habe er bei einer Flanke ausgesehen, bei der der Ball zunächst gegen die Latte geprallt und dann vom Rücken des Tormanns ins Netz gerollt sei.
