Talking I got the cleaning lady addicted to techno!!!! (and I'm not talking about darude :D)

Today, I woke up and played really loud "Boriqua tribez - Corona"... it's very nice techno stuff... anyway, when I looked in the corridor, the cleaning lady was dancing and playing with the broom as if it were a glowstick She was so deeply involved in the music that I decided not to disturb her (and approaching someone spinning a broom is not really wise ). So, when the music ended, she came to me and asked if I could give her a mixed CD because she wanted to listen to this kind of music at home and it was far better than the music played in the radio. Probably, I'm gonna give her a liveset either from Ken Ishii or DJ Cave (my favourites). Anyway... I felt like telling it here because, let's face it: you don't see such thing happening everyday Has anyone here ever managed to do something similar?

Mission acomplished

LOL that's cool. Brazilians have good rhythm, that makes sense that she likes techno.

I have a question. Who is Boriqua Tribez? Boriqua=Boricua=Puerto Rican in Taino (native indians). I was wondering if there are PR techno producers i don't know about.

That's cool and everything but I got my grandma hooked on trance... I was listening to oakenfold: new york on day and she liked it. Long story short, I dubbed it onto a tape and hooked her up. So a couple weeks later she wanted me to dub a different one since she'd played the other one out already. I then dubbed dave seaman: buenos aires which she likes as well. This is all pretty freaky to me since she's like your typical blue-haired granny except she's bumpin some phat trance at her crib.

Hmmm, but they're actually quite common in Brazil. We, as well as pretty much any other family member or friend always had them back home. Having one does not insinuate down south what it insinuates up here.

lol... my grandma tolerates ambient, but that's all... here are some of my achievments:

1) Got my whole school van (about 12 people + driver) addicted to trance back in my school days (we would go to school listening to stuff like Cafe del Mar and For An Angel).

2) This cleaning lady is now addicted to techno (and my brother got her addicted to happy hardcore as well).

3) My father likes Brazilian drum'n'bass, but I can't say he's addicted yet.

4) I got a couple of Europeans addicted to trance as well.

5) ... I remember I recorded some mixed tapes, but I don't remember whom I gave them to

That you're lazy (or for the touchy ones, "leading a fast-paced busy lifestyle" ) and/or have too much money on your hands.

Hahah nice, Last year i had a friend who was one of the most
hardcore rap followers out there. His get up included a full outfit, and loud bothersome crap-hop beats playing all the time. One day i downloaded some trance on his computer and left it there. When i came back a week later, he had downloaded gigs on gigs of trance and was raving in his room! It totally changed his life.
