Janice Robinson - Earthbeat (Tomski Remix)
I don't imagine too many people will have heard this, but I reckon it has to be one of the best vinyl purchases I've made.
I picked this gem up just over a week ago, released on Manifesto Records in October 1997. The remix says on the credits that it's additionally produced with Nick Bracegirdle and it shows. It has a very Disco Citizens like sound, along the lines of "Footprint". Upbeat, laid back and melodic old vocal trance track in the way I like it. It sounds dated yes, but in the good old way I remember Brittish trance back in the late 90's. Lovely chilled piano melody which goes well with the vocals.
Anyone else heard this one?
Here's the lyrics of it I've made out so far:
And the setting of the sun
And the setting of the sun
And the setting of the sun
And the setting of the sun
If you listen to the ocean
The rhythm of the wave beats the truth
Hits the side of the tide
Which fills me with emotion through and through
I wanna run free, I wanna feel sure
I'm standing??? Feel???
I can hear it, distant thunder
The Sun is fading further away
Explosions of the storm
The warnings of a final day
I wanna run free, I wanna feel sure
I'm standing??? Feel???
And the setting of the sun
And the setting of the sun
And the setting of the sun
And the morning
And the setting of the sun
And the setting of the sun
And the setting of the sun
And the morning
And the setting of the sun
And the pounding of the earthbeat
