Re: Working, living, partying during the Dutch summer....

So is it worth going to Holland for the Summer. I mean going to work there, live there and party there. Basically make money there and spend it there. Keep in mind we're Irish. Do you think it would be a good idea or a bad idea. Proxies post about going on holidays there makes it seem like a good idea.
I heard of people going over for the summer, and picking tomatoes or tulips or whatever :-) and living there for a few months. Is there much work going during the summer for students like us. And the money, would a student make enough to pay rent and party?
Opinions and suggestions welcome. |
You can get a job here, but i dont think it will make a lot of money (thats like 6-7 euro's an hour max). So if you want to make rent & still party i think you have to work a lot. In the Summer a lot of students are working, so the supply workforce is pretty high. But oke, the demand is also pretty high.
Dont know why you are staying (what it costs), but accomodations are pretty pricey....Maybe you can stay at some dutch TA cheap
Holiday's in Holland is oke, we got some good festivals (Dance Valley & Mysteryland).
