Is it just me or does it seem like PVD hasn't really been releasing much material the last couple months? After out there and back, which was filled with a bunch of dated sounding tracks (I heard it was because of some complications with his record label), i haven't really heard much material from this man, which is really sad since i get really excited when i'm about to listen to one of his new productions/remixes. He had remixes of born slippy and almost learn to respect ur mother....but i was not really feeling these tunes. Well, Born Slippy was quality but didn't meet the PVD standards i've come to expect...(cream, flaming june, synaesthisia, 1998) So anyways, do you guys think PVD is falling off? Maybe he is in the lab workin on a new LP? All i know is....We Are Alive was the cheesiest single i've ever heard from him, i was shocked when i heard it and i'm still waiting for him to make up for that disaster. I cringe everytime i hear him mix it into a set...which seems to be always since it's his lead single off his album. Are there any quality remixes of this track that i don't know about and more importantly any quality new productions remixes from mr van dyk?

You'd better check his official homepage - he has already made some remixes this spring.

The breathless mix isn't bad.
Tell Me Why & We are Alive are his worst productions. Utter cheese that has gotten extremely commerical...he should be embarassed to have his name on it.

actually, i liked tell me why...it was quite commercial but still maintained and elegant and sweet sound. Also, i liked the vocals...I guess i thought it maintained a good balance to appeal to both trance/commercial crowds leaning more towards commercial though...but Alive is just horrible, sounds like cheesy europop or something and that woman's voice in the song is horrible.....
i agree with starfox.
all 3 versions on the vinyl are great.
the only thing that's cheese of his is we are alive, i couldnt believe PVD produced that. maybe he didnt (conspiracy theory?)
i just heard the PVD remixes of members of mayday 10in1 and the new jam & spoon after hearing about them in this post. Is it just me or are the remixes anything BUT quality? Especially 10in1, it reeks of cheeze.....
