American Dance Music Awards(WMC)
A story to tell.......... (WMC)
Last Night(wednesday night), the American Dance Music Awards were held on Miami Beach, Florida(coinciding with WMC). Everyone we care about was there. Tiesto, PVD, Crystal Method, Deep Dish, etc etc...
My sister happens to work for American Idol as the Producers Assistant. So she works with all the awards(red carpet and shit) and TV shows. She doesn't like electronic music. I clearly know this because whenever I blast "my music" she asks me to turn it down.(I know all of you can relate!)
Anyways, someguy that was also working with the awards made a mistake and was letting regular vip holders come inside the same entrance "talent"(artists) were entering through. So there was this big crowd of normal people and famous djs.
My sister then was asking artists(they had "artist" bands or tickets), "are you Talent?" and they were like "Yes". She then asks, "Who are you?", "Oh, I am Tiesto". She grabbed his hand and walked him inside the awards. Same thing for PVD, Deep Dish, and many others. Funny thing is she doesnt know who in the hell these guys are. Any of us would have spotted them a mile away. Tiesto was like "You look stressed*chill smile*". My sister was like "oh yeah, you wouldn't believe". Thing is, Tiesto was being friendly, as most electronic artists are.
Especially right now in South Beach. There are so many artists just enjoying the beach. If you walk into the only record store in Miami Beach,GrooveMan Music(owned by George Acosta) you might run into two of them. Across the street at a sandwhich place, you might run into Sasha or Pete Tong. At the beach itself, you might catch PVD enjoying the sun and the women. The Beach is full of artists and producers right now.
*If any TA producers are reading this and are in Miami, now is the time to promote yourself* I know personaly Digweed takes home a BRIEFCASE full of demos and he listens to them all!
Anyways, my sister said that all the electronic artists that she met are sweet, funny, and just basicly chill.
Then.............................................................................................. Puff Daddy arrives.

Whenever awards are being done such as Dance Music, Oscars, Grammy's and so forth, the poducers and asistants have to provide the artists with whatever they want. So naturaly, there are cases of water, candy, freesbies(yes, the discs that fly!), food, liqour(including champagne), etc. Not only does he arrive late(fashionably late I dont think so), at the end of the show, he starts STEALING the cases! My sister told the producer of the show "He's a fuckig millionare, what the hell is he doing stealing water?!?"
By the way, P.Diddy is also no longer allowed to enter CROBAR(Miami's best club IMO) bcuz he was pissing on the walls of the VIP. WTF?

A side from that bullshit, Tiesto won something(sister doesnt remember), Dj Colette(i dunno who that is) won best breakthrough DJ, IIAO performed. When She was rehursing, she was screaming at everybody like if she was the shit. Only one my sister tells me that was moody and shit(bitch). Dirty Vegas was the overall winner taking home Best Video and Best Record and probably someother awards. Oakey also won some shit. Tenaglia as well. The awards will be aired sometime in the next two weeks.
Can't wait to see them! Can't wait fot Ultra! Can't wait to be famous!
