Does anyone here know any nice US colleges and Universities? I applied to some schools and then decided that i didnt want to go to any of them so I am kind of fucked. They cant be too bad and preferbaly would be in hot weather places as i hate the cold..... and rolling admissions would help as its kind of late... and a nice scene would be a plus of course. PlEASE HELP ME as i have begun to shit my pants about this whole thing.

go buy a book like the Fiske Guide to colleges/universities. i dont know of many schools with rolling admissions. you can forget about the university of california system, those apps were due a long time ago. the california state system might be more up your alley at this point. but honestly, buy a book. asking people for 'nice college' recommendations won't get you anywhere.

Good Engineering programs. Just do your research! Big vs small school, greek vs non-greek campus.

university of maryland!! it's right near washington dc, so you have a huge amount of diversity and people in the area. it's a huge school too, with a strong academic reputation, but also doesn't feel so huge at the same time.

USC (university of southern california) is where i am.
its pretty nice, its always warm, lots of hot girls, its in LA

personnaly right now I've crossed usa off ( but for personnal reasons ) for schools, and I'm going back to EUUUUUUROPE ( actually I just had the crazy idea about trying to get into Australia )

If you're a Cypriot (like your flag indicates) and you want to be around your countrymen, stick to schools on the east coast, particurly New York City--Columbia, NYU, St. John's and the CUNY schools are loaded with Greeks and Cypriots. St. John's has rolling admissions and the CUNY schools have a variation of it while NYU and Columbia have only early decision.

If you want nice weather, head out to California or Florida.

If you want relative anonyminity and a party-like atmosphere, head to a large state school--University of Michigan, University of Wisconsin, Ohio State, UCLA, Penn State, will all do the trick.

Do you have any concerns about academics, school reputation, school specialties, prestige, cost, etc.? If so, that should help you refine your list.

If you're looking to start school in the Fall of 2003, you're pretty much screwed as most (halfway decent) schools have already filled their yields for the entering class. You may have a leg-up on the Spring 2004/Fall 2004 semesters tho.
