Well big show this week. this weeks episode features four hours of trance djs from Melbourne.
First up, i present a 2hr set from Julian Reynolds. Julian started dj'ing in 2000 securing gigs at Hard Kandy and Bubble throughout 2001 and 2002. Recently Julian received, arguably his two biggest breaks in his DJ career thus far. The first being a residency at 5AM @ Room (uplifting melodic trance) and the send being the Bass Station DJ competition which he won, gaining him a residency at one of Melbourne's most underground and distinguished club nights. In a short amount of time Julian has developed a reputation for his energetic antics and versatility behind the decks. Julian plas all styles of trance between uplifting melodic to the tougher driving sounds. Apart from being a busy man on weekends he also works as promotions manager for vinylwarning.com.au, (Australia's permier online vinyl store). First hour of his set is a Vocal Mix, 2nd hour is his Bass Station Mix.
Up next is upcoming trance dj, Chris Pana. From an early age had a passion for dance music, predominantly the 1998 dutch trance sound, that captivated people and audiences around the world; a huge turning point for trance during this time. Influenced by the sounds of DJ Tiesto, it wasn’t too long after, that he found himself in and out of most records stores purchasing this style of music. Soon enough he purchased himself a pair of second hand turntables. So the journey began…… Having been a bedroom DJ for approximately 5-6 years now and based in Melbourne, it wasn’t until mid 2003, that Chris had finally come out of his shell by joining the 5AM crew, who are also very passionate about the trance sound. Immediately he was keen to get involved. Chris was discovered to be a talented trance DJ from handing out his demo CDs to various punters and the 5AM team. His seamless mixing didn’t go unnoticed and was given his chance to play opening sets. Months later, he was then given the opportunity to play in the side room with the Unify crew playing a peak time slot, totally captivating the audience by giving them an amazing show that gained him much support. Melbourne Techno Massive (MTM) gave Chris the opportunity to play the very last nightshift at Sugar Suite. This was an honour for him in itself, to bid farewell to such a unique and diverse night. Chris has now worked his way to being one of 5AM’s main residents which has led him to other opportunities. He has had the opportunity to play at both Altitude and Room680 and most recently made his debut at Viper Room, one of Melbourne’s most popular dance clubs. His sights are set on a bright future with production in the not too distant future.
Finally, the last guest of the show is Albert Mangler. This man has appeared alot on Elemance_Presents.. over the past, and once again he has a mix ready to broadcast on the show. Mangler runs the famous Melbourne uplifting melodic trance nite 5am @ ROOM, which the other two guests are residents of. Mangler plays alot around Melbourne. He has a part in TranceTribe.com (official sponsor of the show) writing articles and Montly Top Tens.
