When watching the news on bbc1 this morning, they had footage of a tank in iraq taking out a tv mast, me and my housemate where having a debate on wheather it would be good tv for a "cruise missile cam" taking out some military instalition/hardware, obviousley peoples fealings are strong about the war so lets keep the flaming nice( if there is any) but do you think that this sort of footage should be released to the media?
personally i think it should mainly as i have a intrest in all things big and powerfull

I reckon by the time the next war comes along, we'll be able to choose any soldiers helmet cam to watch on Digital TV, choose from 200 camera angles, and vote which regiment goes in first using the red buttons on our remote controls
There'll even be a show at 10pm each night
"Day 6 on the battlefield. Sgt. Brown and Lt. Nell are discussing the days events over a hot chocolate. Nell is upset that the viewers have voted her "most likely to die next" for 3 days in a row"
Though saying this, I know I'd watch it.

This is my area
hehe
My dad sells recorders and cameras to the MOD, and all those pictures u see of the missiles hitting etc, and all the inflight pictures, well thats wot he deals in.
It is all recorded during the mission and then downloaded it and they analyse how the mission has gone.
But when u think each camera, especially one that would need to transmite pictures to something, and also take all the elements whilst sat on a cruise missile. Well u can only use it once. And i dont see america of the uk paying £20,000 for a camera they cna only use once.
So its a good idea, but an expensive one. Heh.

exactly right, thats why when they show footage of a missle blowing something up it is usually from a camera on the underbelly of a plane...which i believe is better than a camera on a missle because with a camera on the missle once it hit its target youd get nothing but static, but with a camera under a plane you get to see the destruction the missle did, along with explotion and fire.
