ah poor impressional escee, lead in a booze filled rage to the bottom of the bottle, i met bob and he told me about your raging antics but then i lost him and couldnt find him again :/// AHHHH
i couldnt agree more, fair enough he was playing what he likes or whatever but... a little of the paul van dyk we know and love, wouldnt have hurt... few power cuts... i dont think he was as unintrested as lanithium suggests, just more doing his thing than what the crowd wanted... power cuts were to be expected, i shit you not this was the worst weather i have ever seen (let alone driving in to northbridge :///) in a long time... overall
VERDICT : overall you know i felt it was a alright set, just not the paul van dyk everyone knows.
but he did start of well, and his last half hour was good too
some tracks i remember were
Klea - tic toc (Me and my friend felt the night was almost made up for just cause he played this! i really wanted to hear it!)
Tiesto - Obsession (remix? filterheadz?)
Circ - Destroy She Said (destroy she said my blah), shut the fuck up.
Solid Sleep - Club Attack (polotics of dancing remix)
Dark Monks - Insane (steve marano dub)
Solar Stone - Solar Coaster (Midway Remix)
Robert Miles - Children (some remix)
Paul van Dyk - Nothing but you...(TWICE i might add, a manouver im not too fond off.)
Paul van Dyk - For an Angel
his track with jan johnston? cause i heard her vocals and his bassline... but i dunno the name...
John Askew - Another Dimension <--- great track
umm
ooo and how could i forget, at the very start he dropped forbidden fruit! the original! that was really cool.
EDIT : i just realised, i had a pretty cool part on that night too and i was having a great time before i left for paul van dyk, and i suppose to measure the night, in heinsight i would have rather stayed at the party. so niel dont feel bad. and everyone else perth wasnt that crash hot :P
EDIT : AGAIN! : i do think however paul van dyk enjoyed himself, if you guys see videos of him or anything like that, thats just how he is hes just pretty focussed behind the decks and you can tell he was enjoying from the few hip movements, and the odd smile and wave, if he wasnt he would have NEVER done those things... ahh just my 2c

mmm, the night was what i expected it to be. a hodge podge of unstructured music.
he pulled out some great tunes (solarcoaster, chakra 2 doors, children, another dimension) that if properly structured and mixed would have sounded great, but he was what i call 'karoake djing' ..putting one song on, then another, and not even letting some of the better tracks play an appropriate length. i won't even go into his many subtle (and a few obvious) fuckups (i remember exchanging looks with lanithium over one of the obvious ones).
some friends had to rush off to the hospital because another friend had been randomly knocked out by some aboriginal wanker when walking past the paramount, so they missed the last 90 mins of pvd ...i simply told them that they didn't miss anything exciting at all.
oh vell, all dj's can't be as good as armin
was great to meetup with lanithium and his girl ruth, and i think i met jah in a quite mashed state. my mind at the time was going 'this is silly, i know this track ..its uum, fark what was it again, i know its the midway remix' but had a complete mental blank as to what it was. so i approached the group that looked like the blue shirt TA'ers and asked.
well, overall i hope you all had a good night out, cos even though the dj'ing wasn't on par i still had a great night with friends.
