Do you mean the arpeggiator for the synth?

Create a synth, then create a matrtix pattern sequencer. Using the mouse, fill in the keys you want it to play and then the velocity for them (the bar below the key) then hit play.

Second quesiton, right click on the filter and click edit automation. An automation window pops up at the bottom. Hit record and adjust the filter as needed.
