Thumbs down Hemstock & Jennings Basslines!

Both records I have of them, their remix of oceanforce - euphonic, and their northern lights/arctic record, suck as far as bass goes. Their records are hard as shit to mix in cause they are so low, their melodies are mint, but damn do something about the bass. I think this is why PvD redid Arctic into nothing but you. Just my thoughts.

peace,

Steve

I guess I jumped to conclusions about them and shouldn't have made my post so broad including all their songs, cause' I'm not educated with all of them. I just personally have a problem with their basslines in the two songs up top, thats all.

peace,

Steve

It's not the bass line that's the problem with H&J stuff imo, it's their kick drums! On some of their songs it's almost non existent!

Fnnnggg!

true, the kick drums are often weak, but in a club the tracks always work really well

and yes, the only H&J track i find easy to mix is East & Central.. the rest are bastards!
