vinyl vs cd ...

hi,

I just wanted to know that I'm really bored to see that there are not a lot of HOT TUNES out on CDs :-/
Majority are for vinyls. why?
I'd like to have ALPHAZONE 'rockin' on a cd single, but I'm sure it will never be released on a cd. why labels don't release evey vinyl tunes on cds? they are stupid! a lot of people all around the world don't have vinyls players (like me). And if you want to play tunes in car, you can't if it's not out on a cd!

maybe that's one of the reason why labels die one by one...

I think its the fact that why would anybody buy music on a CD nowadays when they can just download it for free? Yes there are many, like yourself I'm assuming, that will support the producer and buy their music, but theres not many of you anymore. Another thing is if you bought it, its that much easier to make a rip of an MP3 from a CD then it is a vinyl. Not everyone who has vinyl has a recording device to their computer to rip songs, therefore less spreading around of free music. Thats just my $.02.

But I do kinda understand about not being able to play the tunes in your car, but shit, with the HUB now, you can get pretty much any song and put it on a CD. I just don't see record labels wasting their money on making CD's, although some do, when people just download it somehow!

peace,

Steve
