I think everybody go through this sometimes, lol!
Guess we hav to learn how to deal with frustration.
Yous skills will improve with time, that's for sure, but u can exercise it to fasten the process.
Try choosing some simple, not so complex, and diferent songs, and try to remake some parts od them, i mean remake in terms of structure.
Try to catch the notes and/or chords and reconstruct the bass, beat, percussion, synths, and so on. Dont mind if it dont sound identical, just do it, and keep doing with more and more diferent songs and your ear will begin to understand well what sounds like what, what type of layering of sounds give what feeling, and cool things will start to automatically "pop" in your head when u are taking a shower, or doing casual things.
Listen, listen and listen to diferent songs all the time, but listen with analytic ears, paying atention on how the sounds r layered, layering is very important and often forgoten, u cant make a very gorgeous song just with one big synth alone

FL4 is back open again atm and a new melody is coming from the chanting in the shower I did 20 mins ago.
