it's -of course- very very common to use sampling
If you want to incorporate a little vocal in your track (ooh - yeah), you can't drag that out of a synth. If you really really want to use a rubber ducky squeek (ahem) you can sample one and use it on a cheesy hardhouse track. Or if you like making kickdrums on your pc for example with a wave editor, you can load it into a sampler afterwardw. + tons more uses you can figure out
I don't think sampling in triton has the functionality of gigastudio, but it's decent enough to get around.
