Indeed, I'm not a big fan of ripping off an artist, not paying for their hard work, and deciding to spin it. But using CD-R's can really help bridge the gap between mixing styles. I still get frustrated when I find some really cool track that I would like to spin, but can't because it doesn't really exist on vinyl. No, I'm not a big advocate of cd-dj'ing either, but it can have it's certain advantages over vinyl. (One of them being able to play random obscure tracks).
