what is a referral???

what it means if you tell someone about the site or something and they register (there's also a space to put in the person who 'referred' you to the site) then you get 1 referral. i dunno if it has any effect on anything. lol. somehow i have 1 too...*shrugs* i dunno who it is or how.....lol.
