I just heard Paul Van Dyk - Nothing but you On Z103!!
mmmm so I was on my way to school this morning, and as soon as I turned on the car I heard Paul Van Dyk - nothing but you,so I thought it is probably my cd player on,but I was wrong it was on Z.103
so to be honest I was a bit surprised to hear it on radio, well I mean it is very new,and Z.103 ususaly playes stuff from like 2 years ago,so I dont know what this means.Does it mean we'll be seeing Paul Van dyk at summer rush or something??I wonder how other people think about this,I mean the people who are not really into trance.Does this means that trance is getting commercialized.mmm I wonder what the ginos will say about all this??Gino:"eeh dude bro you heard this solid song by Paul Van Dyk??I cant wait wait to pump this in my shitvic at Coffee T",:whip
well it is a very scary cenerio but it could happen very soon. But ok lets not be nagative about this, this should be good for us trancelovers, meaning we could get bigger events in the near future.
So anyways what do you all think about this?it is a good thing, bad thing??

U know I recall seeing some Paul Van Dyk music videos on much music before... and well u can't really blame him... it's a good way to earn some extra money!
So yes, he probably will be commericialized like the cheese sandstorm and atb.
*sigh*
PVD is still so hot right now!

Yeah I heard that song on z103 too. Well, I think it has something to do with Paul van Dyk was suppose to be spinning here on Sunday. Everytime PvD comes to Toronto, z103 plays a lot of his tracks. So it might just be a promotional thing, LOL they probably dont know he cancelled.

I really don't get it... you people:
1) hate euro/gino culture
2) wish trance would become more popular
3) obviously listen to z103 semi-regularly
4) freak out and complain on TA when they play a trance track?
No offense but get a grip, guys. They're allowed to play trance - does there have to be a formal announcement on TA every time it happens?

mmm the reason I brought this up is because I was very surprised hearing a brand new release trance song on radio, and I thought it was intresting, and wanted to know how others felt about it,and yes they are allowed to play what they wish, but hearing this song on the radio was just abit weird for me thats all, dont get me wrong now I really love this song.Well Iam just very intrested to see how other people(none TA's) think about this song!!

i think diginut's reponse was in context from other repeated "trance on z103" and gino bashing threads.

I do not really wish trance became more popular. Popular is another way of saying commercialized

I think I will get flamed for this but what the heck..
Don't you guys wish we had a scene sort of like the one they have in Holland? One where 10,000+ person parties happened once a month?
Well to answer my own question, I would have to say yes. The only way that could ever even remotely happen is for some elements of electronica to go mainstream here in Toronto. It is obvious that if any elements of electronica were to ever go mainstream it would be the highly commercialized trance and to be honest I wouldn't mind it that much. Instead of people listening to freestyle they would listen to cheese trance, which is a step in the right direction for the scene period.
Remember there are some elements of electronica that would never go mainstream, therefore you guys wouldn't have to worry about the gino invasion.
In summary, I think it's good that z103 is playing some trance, it's definitely a healthy sign for the scene.
