what is the proper way to get the BMP back to its normal after "sync"

for exapmle if i beatmatch from 135 to 140 BMP do i gradualy get the 140 back to 135 or do i just leave it at 140. what if the song doesnt sound good if leaving at 140? and what if i cant switch it back to 135 quickly because its very noticable?

another thing, anybody know where i can find a thorough manual on Traktor that would explain every option in the software.
