answer: it depends. If i am at home in germany, where people have invented the 4-ply toilet paper, i use less than if i am in the US, where see-through toilet paper seems to be in fashion.

Rather than saying how much I or anyone else uses, it might help to know that medical research shows germs can get through about 7 layers (of 1-ply) TP.
So base your usage on that.
