Yeah, you don't wanna look like an idiot when you play out...
But, after a few months, you'll feel you make alot of progress. I have mine for about 6 months now, and, sometimes, my mixes are VERY smooth.
YOu should work on beatmatching alot. It's very hard to learn, but once you get the hang of it, it's no problem. You'll be working on this about a month with intense practise... That part isn't cool at all. You're gonna wish you never started, but, practise is the key to succes.. beleve me.

i agree with u guys that networkin is the most important...but what about the ones that have no one... what do they have to do to prove them selves...
i dun want to sound lame or anything but really how fair is it out there for startin dj's when other dj's "friends" get better chances.
