I just came back from game 5 and it was the most incredible sight I have ever seen. I have never seen the crowd so pumped up and it seemed to help the Senators throughout the game.
On the ride up I was regretting that I paid $90 to watch a hockey game. I am so happy that I got my money's worth. I had free beer and food too.
The addition of Jason Spezza was a no-brainer and it looks like he's staying put. I just wish they had put him in the lineup for game 3.
The crowd was throwing their towels on the ice when Phillips was called for holding just seconds after Rafalski absolutley anal raped Spezza in front of the net. I had never heard a crowd so loud. I couldnt even hear the PA announcer announcing the penalty.
very nice game indeed... although the sens did get a few calls/non calls go from the refs (about time i must add). pp finally clicked, spezza was awesome (he surprised me with his faceoff abilities).
big test is game 6.. can the sens win on NJ ice? hopefully
