Visions of Shiva - Perfect Day
Hi, I found this E.P. for sale at a second hand record store and i was wondering if anyone here has heard any of the three songs on it (Perfect Day, Perfect Night, Perfect Morning)as i could not find any of these on the hub. What are they like?
I was also wondering if anyone has any idea about the rarity/value of this record?

Yep, very old it is! Originally released in 92, re-released in 95.
It's a very old skool sounding as well, not PvD's & Cosmic Baby's best tunes under this alias. "How Much Can You Take" is much better IMO, dunno about the value of Perfect Day though.

Its hard to say how valuable it is...theres no "Vinyl Price Guide" out there, at least not for electronic music...
As for the tracks, of course PvD's style has changed quite a bit, and you can tell just by listening to these tunes, that this stuff was sort of on the experimental "what does this button do" type of productions....otherwise, I would either hold on to it just a nice keeps-sake or sell it and say what you get for it...

Unless someone offers you a lot I'd hold onto it myself. Considering it was produced in 1992 the production quality is really quite excellent and the Cosmic Baby influence is readily apparent. The three of them are loosely interconnected and brilliantly describe the feeling of morning, day and night...
Perfect Morning is a wonderful ambient piece with pianos and a very mystal sound to it. Perfect Day has a proper beat to it and there's more chanting -- not as surreal as Morning but an uplifting and intriguing early trance production. Perfect Night comes straight at you with a harder beat and quirky synthwork. A more driving track with the same elements but a clubbier feel.
It'd be best if you could hunt down digital copies to see if it tickles your fancy, I suppose.

it's great, buy it. i like it better than "how much can you take" but everyone has their own preferences.
it's a lot better than that regurgitated shit that pvd produces since "for an angel - e-werk". it seems cosmic baby really *was* the driving musical force behind the visions of shiva as he claimed.
funny, i just heart "for an angel - e-werk" being played on the radio broadcast (AM730 vancouver) of the stanley cup game 6 when they were replaying some highlights :-). trance sure is really underground ... LOL.
