i didnt know that there was a so big difference in parties in canada and europe ! i looked at a the party at sensation and i hope it will never be like this in canada ... all the things that makes our parties cool aren't there at sensation...
1- people seems to act like its the big club , the big place to be when you're a hot guy , so this brings chicks that are there to shake tits , dancing sexy girl with no fucking sense if you hear the beat. after you see those guys (show-off) that dont even know what they do there except being hot because they're at the good place ! and the way people dance ...no energy ,,,if you seem to have to much fun people think you're crazy....
here in canada when it's big night of trance nobody cares the way they look , the way they dressed, the way they dance , its just a unforgettable night where everybody feel the intensity of the music !
ps:maybe it seems fun to see that quite nude chicks around , but when you are in a party in montreal the beat and crowd is so awesome that they dont even think about this , (if you want this there are clubs)

OOO i love montreal !!!

I disagree. They're all wearing white because that was the party's slogan, so it's bit hard to dress individually there. I'm sure if they were dressing as they usually do you'd see a bit more diversity. And you're judging these people by the way they dance and dress?? Now who's shallow?

It seems to be like you're saying party's should be about dressing down and not making an effort. What's the point in that? Does it mean you love Trance more? If you're only there for the music you might as well stay at home and listen to the radio broadcast mate.

Oh and I don't care what you're into, naked chicks are still cool. Stop trying to be part of some non-existant "scene", because it sounds to me like you're the one trying to conform to a standard.

Sensation wasn't a cool party this year.
Lot's of "kids" and "newbies"
The real party people were not there. So that could be the reason why the peole there didn't really "freak out/dance" because you're right in that.

But i disagree about the clothes the did wear.
They did it because there was a dress-code. There dress-code because ID&T wanted to bring a tribute to Miles Stutterheim.
That guy was a member of ID&T and died in a car accident last year.

They wanted to display a text, something like "a tribute to Mils Stutterheim", with a black-light. And you know, a black-light and white clothes gives a cool effect.

unfortunately it didn't work because there went something wrong.

Normaly the parties here in Holland (europe) are very cool. Al the people "freak out" on the music. But sensation sucks big time, it's commercial and that's why there were a lot of people who went to the party. But aren't real party people.

you dont understand what i really mean...(for the way they dressed i wasnt even talking about sensation , but about general way in europe)
what's bugging me is not that they dress clean, its to see that big trance parties in europe look like what we dislike here in big clubs....the music doesnt seem important besides the way you look or with you you came ! because you'd see a better vibe in trance rave in montreal , with people that are there only for the music , that dance with so much intensity ,instead of europe , a crows with 20 % tranceaddict, 20% show-off guys,20% i am there to take a girl, 20% bitch and 20 % normal... <--- theses are also the clubs in mtl!

Like I also said.

Sensation sucks.

Other parties in Holland
Impulz / Qlimax / Dance Valey / 4 Elements / Qontact / name it there lots.

People FREAK OUT.
Everybody dances until they drop
Normaly there aren't show-off guys.
Sensation had dull people because it's a commercial party. And al the fake party people go there to say that they were there.

Just like BLIK said.

i'm happy to know that sensation is an exception !!
what's all about that, i wanna see blonde girls with big boobs !
personnaly i dont like those baggy pants too , but the point is not there , the point is that people who are there are there for one reason , the music , the vibe ... and it makes a real better night than when it's the big super event party " i wanna be there " ... what i mean is that the vibe is so awesome that you dont even think to see sexy girls and what bugs everybody is to see that hot muscled guy that heard that raves are the place to be is coming and you see he's not at its place ! if ckerr812 if raves come like this in canada i die , go to clubs man you'll be happy

I do go to clubs more then raves...and I am happy Just that I wish the rave scene in Canada were like that! It would rock....Maybe those people aren't there for the music...but, it is a good vibe...and beautiful women always create a good vibe....anyway, I know what you mean....I always love being around people that like the same music I do, that's why I hang out here....I'm just saying that at the raves in Canada there will always be the people who love thee music and go for that reason...just my point is, we replace the Kids on E that are just there to do drugs, with beautiful women and the "people there just to be cool" then it would be more fun..... There is always going to be people like that no matter where you go....

If the 80% you mentioned who weren't just there for the music didn't buy tickets, the event wouldn't have taken place in the first place. Everybody's always saying how they wish dance music was more mainstream, how it sucks that it's never played on the radio and how everybody thinks it's only about drugs and nobody understands. And then an event like this takes place they moan even harder. Which could be the reason why Europe has a lot of these type of events and Canada doesn't.

There have always been different groups into Trance. The only difference is in the past they were accepted. What's the alternative? Go back to rushed gatherings in dusty warehouese? If it's all about the music then go, dance, and don't worry about what everybody else is up to.

IMHO of course
