New Hybrid album!!!!!!
(Quoted from trance.nu)
Hybrid's new album, Morning Sci-fi (part recorded in Russia and part recorded at their Swansea based studio in Wales), sees collaborations with NYC based DJ/remixer John Creamer, Kirsty Hawkshaw and The Hermitage String
Orchestra, St Petersburg.
Also featured is New Order member Peter Hook, looked upon by many fans around the world as one of the worlds best bass players, witch has co-produced and collaborated exclusively with Hybrid, on the two tracks 'True to Form' and 'Higher than a Skyscraper'.
Hybrid is really crossing genres with this release and really shows the true meaning of "progressive";
Morning Sci-fi offers a crossbreed of beats, electronic, rock and of course, Hybrid's trademark orchestral sound.
Chris Healings has this to say about the upcoming album;
"We've been listening to absolutely anything other than dance music. I suppose that is because dance music is so ingrained into what we do naturally. We've been listening to stuff like The Doves, Radiohead, Soulwax, New Order and lots of jangly indie guitar bands and classical music, particularly the work of Arvo Part and Alexander Gretchaninov."
Having wowed both Miami Winter Music Conference and Fabriclive, with their new live set up, Hybrid have introduced two unique talents - Adam Taylor (lead vocal and guitar) and Tim Hutton (bass) with original live member Alex Madge (drums).
Hybrid has already given the fans a great teaser from this album with their release of Gravastar & Celebrity Science, witch has been hammered by all the big ones.
I SOOO can't wait for this one... definitely the most innovative electronic act I have ever come across...
