aint it funny

aint it funny that you dont see, for example PvD do a remix of a tiesto track, or Ferry Corsten do a remix of a PvD track, or Tiesto do a remix of an Armin track and so on and so forth.

or is it because they think that they might outbetter there own original track??

what do u think?

i've wondered the same thing myself many times. some of them used to (and some still) do tunes together, but no remixes for each other. it's weird!

i was pretty surprised when i found out that tiësto remixed oakenfold (southern sun). i thought that would never happen, but it did, so who knows what will happen in the future. i'd like to see all the top guys remixing each other, that could be cool!

It prolly has to do with ego, style and inspiration and need.

Is it neccesary voor Tiësto to remix For An Angel, vice versa for PvD to remix Urban Train?

imo not.

thats cuz the original southern sun was utter shite... even oakenfold knew that :-P tiesto's mix was just how it should have been done to begin with...

yeh, the tune will probably alreayd sell loads, so they can pick small time or up and coming remixers to remix their tunes for a cheaper price and still make the same amount of sales.

The original was NOT shit. Definitely not a crowd pleaser, but It wasn't designed to be one. More of a chill out track....

Um, the reason why they don't do it...is because they have already done it. No need to keep remixing each others tracks.

Some examples:

System F (Ferry)- Exhale (Armin van Buuren Remix)
Gouryella (Ferry & Tiesto)- Gouryella (Armin Remix)

Didn't Armin also remix Gouryella - Walhalla?
