WITH DJ GEORGE ALVARADO
DJ/Producer/Record Label and Store Owner, George Alvarado, was born November 3, 1963. In 1979, at the age of 14, after a motorcycle accident, his father purchased his first set of turntables and a mixer to take his mind off of the accident. Immediately, he did mobile house parties until the age of 21, when he started to mix professionally in the clubs. In his lifetime, George has had 21 residencies in South Florida and 28 guest appearances in World-renowned clubs, such as, CLUB SPACE, LEVEL and WARSAW. In 1986, he landed his first radio show on WVUM playing Alternative music on Tuesday nights. In 1987, he became Feedback Director of The Florida Record Pool. In 1989, he landed a residency at one of the first major clubs on South Beach called CLUB NU. Inspired by Frankie Bones, he brought the Techno Sound to South Beach. This became the biggest Saturday Night in Miami! In 1991, he was featured on MTV LIVE from PENRODS BEACH CLUB (currently NIKKI BEACH). After his 2-year residency, he started his own record label, and produced his first 12" record called "House Your Body" by The 2 Housemen. Then he produced his first techno album under the pseudonym, Techman 1, on PANDISC RECORDS.


During the next 8 years, he released over 60 different projects with some legendary producers, such as, Noel Sanger, Robbie Rivera, Oscar G and George Acosta. In 1992, he opened his first Music Store in Hialeah. In 1997, he landed a residency on a station in Miami playing Freestyle and Dance Classics. In 1999, he started the Late Night Laboratory, which became the Biggest Underground Show in South Florida. The Late Light Laboratory was a platform that introduced DJs from overseas to South Florida. Some of these DJs included, Timo Maas, Steve Lawler, Dave Waxman and John Digweed. The show also broke some the biggest Dance tracks in South Florida, such as, "Escape" - Kaycee, "Better Off Alone" - Alice Deejay, "9PM" - ATB, "Protect Your Mind" - DJ Sakin, and "Body" - Funky Green Dogs. The Late Night Laboratory took TRANCE music to another level. In 2000, he opened another Music Store called MUSIC WORLD. George thanks GOD for his talent, his parents for buying him his first turntables, and his wife and two children for their never ending support.
