Tranceaddicts help Needed to save clubbing in canada
Hello everyone, you are needed now more then ever to help stop a atrocity that occurs at every party, when people see or hear they all get very pissed off thats because some moron is blowing a damn whistle so thats why im starting a thread that will help ban whistles from any more events in the near future with your help we will rid the streets of any people blowing a whistle in a club again, you as partiers now have the moral obligation to take that persons whistle and throw it as far away as possible.
Whistle blowers don't understand for some foresaken reason that the whistle does not go with beat in fact it screws it up so come on all you tranceaddicts if you want to have a better party then lets ban whistles and that guy who wears that red wig and blows his little whistle he should be banned for life and never ever come out again, oh yeah stop wearing that stupid wig i think he's worn it every party for the past two years, change your clothes!!!!!!!

I totally disagree with you! First of all people go out to have fun! Who are you to decide what they should or shouldn't do. Secondly, if you listen to Tiesto - Live in Concert the whistles actually add to the atmosphere IMHO.

whistles are ok when they are used properly (if that makes sense)
like NightCreature said, they can add to the mood...but if they're used at inappropriate times and too often it's very anoying!
maybe they can put a whistling liscence in place

I totally agrree!!! Listen to (I think it's ) Ferry COrsten Live @ Oslo party 2002 (or 2001 maybe) and you will notice near the mid to end of the set, some stupid fuck is destroying the music by whistling the fuck out of himself and it's so fucking annoying!!! He musta been stupid or just fucked up because he went of tempo so badly it burns and bleeds the ears!!!!
BAN ALL WHISTLES IN CLUBS!! AND THEIR OWNERS!!
glowsticks are kewl, but the whistles are just distracting from such great trance music.

i guess it all depends on the event.
i personally think whistles shouldn't be blown in clubs.
but in an outside party, carnival, parade or whatever (with 2500 + ppl), sure whistles are cool.
for example of a really popular street parade:
Love parade in holand (= gay parade here...)
p.s.: personally, i wouldn't mind going to the love parade since they have pretty god DJ lineups. But gay parades are just... gay (no pun intedned)

heard through the rumour mill that the love parade is going to be shutdown by 2006 ??? whats up with that???? I'm going next summer for sure.. but still anybody know any news or confirm deny that little rumour?
p.s there was this guy @ tiesto@docks last week with a whistle and kept blowing it and it was SO distracting and took away from the music.. i turned around and glared at him.. gave him my, you're gonna die if you dont stop that, look.. and so he stopped.. phew!
Clubbing in Canada is growing not in decline. Yes the whistle ppl are annoying but it is usually the same guy tho.

I’m going to have to agree that whistles should only be used in an outdoor setting. I think I was near the same ass that was blowing their whistle at TIESTO and it really pissed me off.
BAN WHISTLES IN CLUBS (or at least one’s I go to)
