That's bulls**t. The problem with the Midwest is that most peeps don't know when to move on. I'm sick to death of everyone bowing down and 'laying respect' to the house/techno founders. I love them, but they've had their time and day. It's approaching 20 years for some of them, and there is a large population who's into things like trance and breaks. People don't speak up, since the masters show no respect for nu school ideas, then use their history as defense, even before we speak.
Most of it hasn't moved forward an inch for ten years, and that's no fun for me. I'm just a little fed up with how oblivious some of the scene is to the rest of the world...
