you would be suprised how manny songs have slap bass or bass string instruments in the backdrop, Pianos guitars and bass strings all go nicely.

I think some one needs to expiriment with a harp, i bet that could be some wicked toonage

Piano and any strings can add so much to a song.

hands down: strings..

i use strings in almost all my songs.. sometimes subtle additional sound, sometimes as main lead.. regardless of genre.
