When you're mixing two songs, is it considered technically bad to switch up the breaks of two songs? Like, as the bass kick of the live songs is coming to an end and the break or ambiance comes in, to switch over to the cued song's initial break or ambiance. I'm trying to mix a lot of psy trance, and some of the songs sound too cluttered when I'm mixing in the cued song, even using intros and outros. But a lot of psy-trance tracks start with an ambiance. So, to throw in the cued songs ambiance as the live song's is about to hit. basically switching them. Obviously I don't plan on doing this all teh time, just once in awhile if the two songs just don't sound good right over each other. Thanks for any input.
