You have a 4 Strings as in the guy responsible for creating TUNES such as into the night, daytime, diving and let it rain....You also have a DJ 4 Strings. These are connected but are not the same person. Carlo Resoort is responsible for the 4 Strings tunes.

The name behind DJ 4 strings is Jan de Vos, he is 28 years old and lives in Rotterdam.
His passion for music began at a young age. At that time he played instruments, but his keyboard received the most attention.
During the late 80's he got inspired by many club mixes on the radio. At home he spent much of this spare time in the studio, emulating the sounds he had grown to love.
Jan met up with Piet Bervoets (Rank 1, R.O.O.S., Carlos), who was a DJ-ing a lot at the time. Jan started out as his driver, but their similar passion for music led to them playing out together regularly.
After winning a prestigious DJ competition Jan's profile grew considerably. He played to thousands of people across Holland at many of the top venues, becoming one of the revered new DJs of the trance scene.
He teamed up with producer Carlo Resoort, to form 4 Strings. Their late night collaborations in the studio led to a series of enormous trance anthems, played by DJs from Paul Van Dyk to Judge Jules. 'Into The Night' was named Paul Van Dyk's biggest tune of 2001.
Carlo's influence on the project is undeniably important, yet he is unable to perform out alngside Jan, due to a light hearing injury. Yet his presence is strong through the sound of 4 Strings.
DJ 4 Strings is now beginning to play out across the world, with dates not only in Holland, but also South Africa, not to mention a high-profile tour of Australia |
