MK2 Need Repair?

On my left MK2, the leds for only the left channel move, I switched the connections with my other Tech, and it works there. Think I gotta take it in for repair? If so, Where would I find to do it?

check the cartridge, its connection to the tonearm, and check the rca connections from the tone arm and to the mixer. those are the only possible things that could be messed up.

How do I check the tonearm connections? I got it to work by brushing the stylus, but now its not working again... So It has to have something to do with the tonearm...

brushing the actual needle? did you try switching cartridges or styli? unscrew it and make sure the connectoins on the back arent rusted or anyhing. its probably nothing internal which is good i guess but if its a bad cartridge/needle you may have to buy a new one

I tried switching the carts, it went away at first, but it happened again, i think it might be the contacts inside the tonearm, since when I play with it unscrew it etc, itll work for a while...

cant really open up the tone arm... just clena the contacts on teh cart and the tone arm. the only thing inside the length of the tonearm are the wires that connect to a pcb that connects to the rca cables so from the problems that you seem to have i don thtink its anything else than the contacts between the tonearm and cartridge. jsut clean both of them with a quetip or soemthing
