Hi
I will be purchasing ACID PRO in about a month and a half. (I would be using it as a rewire compliant Multi-track audio mixer and midi editor)

However it has one notable limit, I cannot load a wav and use it as an instrument in the midi piano roll editor.

So what it was reccomended that I use a software sampler (Kontact) to play the wavs in a vst track in acid, essentially acids piano roll view would be using kontact to play the sample.
Would this acutally work?

2nd: I would rather get Kompact than Kontact, since Kompact is $130 less, but offers less effects what would I be losing by doing this?

3rd. I need to know about soft synths, What soft synths offer the best effects, or do all of them offer the same effects (I didn't like reason because it only supports .rex files as smples, so i would need to import wavs) Or would I even needs a soft synth if I have a good sampler?

I know that these are a lot of quests, but thank you for your help.
