yes its pvd.
and the pvd set from the loveparade was recorded. tiesto didn't play the mainstage, only a truck, and that was not recorded. pvd and tiesto also played the love from above the night before the loveparade, and i believe those were not recorded (although i could be wrong). to anyone who knows that answer, wasn't some website supposed to stream the love from above????

What do you mean it doesn't sound like Paul van Dyk???
Did you listen to any PvD sets from 1999-2000?

03. Jose Amnesia - The Eternal (Nu-NRG Remix)
04. Masters and Nickson - Fifth Dimension (Out There) (Instrumental)
05. Terry Bones vs Fred Baker - Introspection (John Askew Remix)
06. 14 Street - Trippin Children
07. Ruff Driverz pres. Arrola - Dreaming (Percussion Mix)
08. Nalin & Kane - Beachball (Oliver Moldan Remix)
09. Starchaser - Falling Star
10. Donald and Giles - Weekend Wonder
11. Nu-NRG - Connective
^^ thats the tracklisting.
nu-nrg, starchaser, john askew, 5th dimension.....pvd plays all of these, on a regular basis. what you heard from that set IS pvd. he didn't magically change his style.
if you want to hear "different" pvd stuff, listen to the weekly fritz shows. couple weeks back he played a bunch of indie music, couple months back he had a special breakbeat segment, he does it all on the radio show.

"I’m a dance floor favorite? Great! I would say the passion that I feel for the music I buy and the honesty with how I play it. I play the records I love not the ones that simply work. I’ve never taken the easy music option (which would make me a lot more money by the way) but chosen to push people a little. I try to draw people in a new direction slightly and expand their taste a little more than other DJ’s." - Lee Burridge

This uplifting mix is reminiscent of The Ministry of Sound sessions and PvD's sets at Twilo. Over the past couple of years, he divesified into other genres, but this is classic Paul van Dyk, no mistake.
