also, in defense of richie, that quote isnt really that offensive, and i think it was someone else who acutally said fuck trance. i mean, to his point, you have to admit that trance does have more popularity than techno...

One thing I don t understand is why technoaddicts hate trance music and insult it. Why only trance and not house , prog , etc...?

not all techno addicts hate trance music. i think it is casue house is too similar to techno. breaks and dnb arent reallypopular enough to bash.
or it could be that tehy feel there scene is superior cause it is still a bit underground and so they feel the need to criticize something that is more mainstream. we do the same thing by mocking cheesy trance.
