DJ/CDJ Equipment

Hey guys:

I'm using FL 3.56 to create my own trance...but I'm kinda putting my eyes on the world of mixing rather than writing (even thinking about incorporating elements from both into my work). Anyways, I really dunno where to start with the equipment. It would suck to purchase something that could later make me sorry, so I come to the elite, seeking some wisdom from the almighty.

What is the necessary equipment for DJing/CDJing? I mean, I know about turntables and mixers, but what other equipment would I need? In the case of CDJing, what equipment do I need?

What manufacturers do you recommend?

Thanks!

If you're going to mix tracks you produce you will need a CD player. The better named brands are Pioneer and Denon. Pioneer seems to be the standard for CD players. If you have the cash, CDJ-1000s, if not I would look at the dual CD decks because they offer more functionality for the price. I have the Pioneer CMX-3000 which has most of the functionality of the 1000s except real-time scratching.

Obviously you'll also need the accesories like headphones, speakers and amplifier.

I have the Pioneer CMX-3000s as well and couldnt be more happier with them. They're awesome.

But when it comes to club standards for Dual decks, I always see Denons, not Pioneers (although the stand alone 1000s has been more and more popular in the clubs)

mixer u should go for the
Pioneer DJM500/DJM600
or Behringer DJX700..
TTS i dunno...
CDJS
if u have about 2000$ You should take the Pioneer CDJ1000S or the Denon DN-S5000(900$-1000$ Each)
if u have less money
u should take
American Dj PSX or Pro Scratch 2 (300$-500$ each)
