Illicit Drug Anti Proliferation Act Questions

Hello, I was planning on working on a persuasive speech on the Illicit Drug Anti Proliferation Act(formerly the R.A.V.E Act)... for my speech class,

I just wanted to know what peoples feelings were about this(if possible be a bit more specific than it "sucks" or it infringes on our rights[which ones?])

This might be good information for those planning on atttending the Stand Up & Shout Protest in August...

But to promoters/property owners here's a couple questions:

1)How is this act effecting you, more importantly how does it work. (ive read the bill, and the language seems pretty broad)

2) Could you break down what it costs go into creating a rave, ie venue, promotion, djs, decor etc...

3)Can anyone site any recent uses of the Illicit Drug Anti Proliferation Act that have either shut down venues that were previously offered for use, made it harder to get new venues, or even shut down a permited event.

4) Is this/has this law effecting/effected any Clubs or Concerts to anyones knowledge or is it strictly enforced towards the rave scene?

5)What are you doing/can promoters do to avoid having these laws used against them even with permits etc...

thanks a bunch to anyone who replies... l8ers

this act infringes on the right to assemble among other fundamental things (like disciminatory towards EDM fans, especially its initial wording) The DEA hasn't actually used it yet but they have threatened its use for A NORML meeting in montana (pot smokers alliance more or less). It was passed into law as a rider bill. Cost for throwing a party varies primarily on the venue used and talent you bring (other things add up quickly). pretty general info about it.. sorry i can't be of more help.
