ClassFactory cannot supply requested class

"ClassFactory cannot supply requested class"

This happens when I try to open a AVI format in any program...
this happen recently when I was cleaning out my computer.. i also installed the windows updates...

help please

did a bit of v.b at college, sounds to me as though it's a script that's failed to run.

(some vb scripts are viruses, so the avi file you tried to open isn't actually an avi file, there's a script embedded into it)

virus-scan imo
