I personally believe the Technics RP-DJ1200 are the best headphones for djing in loud environments, along with the sony mdr-v700. I did not re-purchase the MDR-V700 because of the crack swivel issue that they have.
Make sure you dont get sold on the headphones by looks & appearance. Looks wont do squat when your in a situation with loud monitors in your face and you need good cans.
Check out the headphones, hold them in your hand, put them on your head, make sure they are comfortable. Make sure they feel durable to you, cause you dont want to be dishing out 100+ dollars every year for new ones.
*Edit*.. btw, I certainly dont think the pioneers are worth the extra 60 dollars. (comparing $90 to $150).
Current price of the pioneers are hefty, because they are new to the market. Eventually, they should fall to 100-120 dollars. Even at that, I would still prefer mdr-v700s. |
I agree with this post. I had the Pioneer for a couple months and I like the Sony 700 much better,,, only draw back is the swivel. I've said it before,,, but at least the flaw with the sony phones are only cosmetic. The Pioneers are cheaply made. I also think the Technics are good headphones I just like the way the Sony fits me better. peace.
