Enhancing Cubase SX Stereo Width

Hi guys,

I'm producing with Cubase and one of my problems is to get some decent "stereo sound" out of it. of course it is stereo but the sound could be wider...

what do you suggest ?

work with panning of certain sounds, like little percussive sounds, and background synths, one to the left, the other a bit to the right etc

not work with stereo expanders as they muck around with the phase of the signal

The best thing to do is like pjotr g said to pan certain sounds. You can also get a wider sound by using reverb and delay effects.

Also when your track is finished and you get to the mastering phase, you can enhance the stereo sound of it.
