question regarding recording directly off your mixer

Ok. I know there have been multiple threads about this, but none of them pertains to the mixer I'm currently using
My friend bought a Stanton SK2F and I was wondering if anybody knew how to record onto a MD player...I have a RCA jack that I used to connect from my Master Rec Out from my other mixer(shitty Amercian DJ) to my MD Line In, but this Stanton doesn't seem to have a RCA out...maybe I could rewire everything so I can record off of my receiver instead? I don't know..
Any suggestions or help is appreciated. Thanks

How many outputs has it got? If it's really only got one stereo pair you'll have to pass the signal through something else (e.g. many amps have a tape out for recording purposes).

The problem is that you only have one output but you want to hear what you're recording right?

Well you could just split the signal coming from the mixer. You'll need two adapters though (one for each side)...they're probably $2-5 each from radio shack.

BTW quality kweli quote..

Your mixer is connected to your "receiver". Tell me what that is - your amp? A receiver is normally a radio unit btw

OK, I'm assuming you've got your mixer plugged into your amp. Use a standard CD or Aux input, not the tape input. Then you've got the tape out of the amp connected to the MD.

actually I got it..thanks though.
All I did was reroute the recording cable through the monitor source, and played the actual mix on the speakers through another output source on the same receiver.
Thanks
