A few questions about recording
I've been using TR a long time and gone through different methods
of recording and editing, using different programs.
Since I've joined here I've come to respect allot of your opinions,
and got to wondering a few things.
I know the best way to record is straight from a stereo system as a wav file, then edit, and then encode.
But if your'e like me you can only record from an internet stream.
So do you still record as a wav file, edit, and then encode,
or do you just encode on the fly?
When you edit out the interviews and commercials, do you just cut
them out or do you cut them out and then mix the track back together?
And which program do you use to edit and which to encode?
Basically I'm asking the steps you take to get to the final mp3 file,
from start to finish, to achieve the highest quality in sound.
If this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move it.
