Thumbs up wipeout the video game soundtrack

Hey guys. This videogame is what started my love of electronic music. The first time I played it, and was wowed by the tracks was back in ~1996 when I was only about 13 years old...

I just bought this release:

quote:
Various - Wipeout 2097:The Soundtrack. UK 2xLP on Virgin (V2815) Very scarce vinyl release of the aclaimed soundtrack to the Computer Game. I believe this soundtrack was actually compiled by Sasha, if I can remember right. Superb track listing, containing
Future Sound of London - We Have Explosive
Chemical Brothers - Loops of Fury
Prodigy - Firestarter (Inst)
Fluke - Atom Bomb
Daft Punk - Musique
FSOL - We Have Explosive (Hero Killing)
Orbital - Petrol
Underworld - Tin There
Chemical Brothers - Leave Home (Underworld Mix)
Photek - Titan
Photek - The Third Sequence
Source Direct - 2097
Fluke - U Six
Leftfield - Afro Ride

Does anyone know if these are the original tracks for the sony playstation video game "wipout?" It's called "wipeout 2097." Was that the second or 3rd videogame in the series? I can't remember since I (stupidly) sold them all a long time ago.

Any help with the tracklistings of the games would be appreciated! All I know is that they were pure gold!

Also if you know where I could get the other vinyl releases or the orig. game CDs contact me:

[email protected]

or PM

The first one had Sasha - Xpander on it, so that's not the first one. That's all I remember from it.

Yes you are right....damn.

I knew that. *Hits head on desk*

That was a very special and historic game.

Those might just be vinyl samplers though, and they don't include all the tracks.

dude there is another game for ps2 that's like dance dance revolution but instead you're flying this spaceship on tracks and stuff it's pretty fun when you play it...boring to watch . But it has alot of remixes and stuff by the game makers themselves. I will try to find it again

Why the hell are there 14 tracks ! My original Wip3out 2097 PS1 game only has 11 audio tracks on it

And I never had the chance to play Wipeout 3
Wip3out 2097 is next to Resident Evil, the best game on PS1 ever!
