I noticed that too, there was a poll a while back about if people were happy with themselves and majority said no.

Kinda worrying that.

And most of ya'll dont touch the illegal things, which is even more worrying, as usually ppl blame drug use for their depression...

yeah actuially that thread was distrubing, because i posted the same poll on another board and teh results were drastically different. this board is generally depressed but the otehr place i went (which is a club board in new york) was generally optimisitc. so what is wrong with teh population at TA? is it that the average age is younger and we are more prone to depression in the late teen years (i suppose i am an exception to this...) or does it have something to do with the general type of person who likes trance music? or have the ppl on this board been doing too much e? makes me wonder...

look at it on the bright side - you are conditioning to be able to stay awake all night, AND you get fridays and saturdays off. whioch means you can party hard and even do after hours without needing drugs (this is very good) and you are not fucking up your sleeping habits (this is not healthy). so party hard, my friend!

thats something thats been on my mind for a while now.

I never experienced the teen angst so prolific in teen culture these days. None of friends did either, yet, and I dont mean only the US but there is much influence in television and music and stuff, it seems rife these days.

Lifes what you make of it, and why would someone wnat to make it depressing?

I've noticed that too, I'm usually quite happy in general, but so many others seem to be depressed...

I also go to a teen message board, so of course I see even more low self-esteem, and pointless depression there... then again I'm like the only one there who listens to uplifting trance, the rest are moshers

i feel like crap today too...my country is going through the 2 year anniversary of 911..but besides that, i'am sticking with my POSITIVE ATTITUDE!!! LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO MOPE AROUND...i'am not the poster child of "the land of milk and honey" life, but i came to conclusion that this is life, you take it, deal with it..it's just a matter of how you deal with it and if you get thru it, it's just proof that you are a strong individual...if you can get thru one hard problem, you can get thru the next ones that follows

i think it is related to a general rise in responsibilty in the world. studetns are required to do more younger, and more stress is put on them to figure out their lives before they even have any direction. ppl take on too many activities and learn that stress is normal. i think there wasnt as much depression when i was in High school. i think we are all just living wrong.

sadly, i think our focus on work is wrong too (americans espcially). we learn that work must be done, and out of fear of being replaced we give up outr lives to do it. most ppl go by the live to work way of life and assume that we have to live with increasing stress and that depression is normal, because it is continuously becoming more commonplace.

honestly, i think society is in a sad state...
