BT - Emotional Technology is mostly breakz oriented. The tracks have some nice vocals, both male and female. And the album has taken influences from pop, rock, drumn'n'bass, house, etc.. So not a trance album really. And very different in style with previous BT albums. I like it alot anyway.

The release of Chicane - Easy To Assemble has been delayed at least for about a month.. Germany sees the album in October 13, and the UK about the same date, so the US might be around there too. That album is again partly very pop-oriented, partly the same chilled Chicane we like. Only bad thing is the missing influence of his Disco Citizens alias on this new album.

I appreciate the info! Any suggestions for fairly upbeat female vocal trance mixed with some slower chilled progressives with a good beat to them?

If you've heard "Speak in Sympathy" (Solar Stone?) you know the type of underlying beat that makes your head nod even though the song is very relaxed. (Not sure which remix is it though.) I really like that style and mixing songs like that or other slow tracks like "Lament" (Gabe & Dres) with some more upbeat vocal trance would be what I'm looking for.

Time passes so quickly on my long drive to work with the right music. Sometimes when the right track comes up I start wishing the ride was longer!

Oh and tracks with non-English vocals are definitely a plus, be it European, Middle Eastern, or Indian vocals.

It's not new by any means but Tiesto's In Search Of Sunrise 3 is a great compilation if you don't have it already. In fact you practically can't go wrong with a tiesto compilation (although nyana kind of took the suck bit). Gate Crasher Resident Transmission 2 is a pretty banging set of discs as well, but not very vocal heavy at all (very few actually). Digger's released stark raving mad sometime this year aswell, which went pretty much unnoticed. I found it to be quite enjoyable but again, not much on the female vocals.

Armin van Buuren's 76 may be what you are looking for, it has a good amount of vocals (Justine Suissa) and is fairly recent. That being said it isn't the best album in the world (it's an artist album), but it's definetely not "bad".

anyone tried any imports? im tryin to get a hold of Techno Club from Germany, there seems a lot of stuff out there on the continent just waiting to be discovered,

try asking in the continental forums, thats where the decent stuff comes from..

Well I just came back from Tower empty handed. I have something against paying 30 fucking dollars for an "import" CD for Ferry Corsten's Live in Washington, DC, even though I was contemplating that, and I almost got BT - Emotional Technology but I realized I haven't heard the album first and I better not risk wasting $20 on something without listening to it first to be sure, and the only Tiesto CD they had was Nyana, and the Matt Darey Best of Euphoria or whatever it's called, they actually had one copy of that but I realized everything on that CD either I have, I've heard and I don't like, or I haven't heard and judging by the rest of the tracks on it I probably wouldn't like. And they didn't have ANY Armin Van Buuren CDs and I looked 3 times under "A" "V" and "B" just in case they were mis-shelved, so in the end I realize once again why I don't waste time or money on store-bought trace CDs.

Well I'm currently listening to ET and I'm glad I didn't get it now. Not at all what I was looking for. Listened to about half the songs and they're good, sure, but they're all slow and wayyyy too pop/country/rock than trance. Booooo.

edit again - okay I'm rolling through "76" by AVB now and I'm on the 2nd track and already digging this even though no vocals yet.

There's nothing quite like owning a decent trance CD mixed by some kick-ass DJ. Having MP3's is good, but my music collection would be nothing without the personal tastes of top DJ's and their CD's.

You can't go wrong with BT - ET. Definitely one of my favorite CDs. If you're into prog, I'd recommend getting Perfecto Presents: South America: Hernan Cattaneo. Two discs entirely prog at its finest!

76 isnt out in the US. but you can order it from dancegrooves.com but its in the US shortly. There are some vocal tracks on 004. You should get it, its quality
