DJ Pjotr G - Constructor <--trance/prog

Hey ppl

I just finished off my latest trance/prog production, and I'm wonderin g what y'all think about it!

You can download it here:
http://stuwww.kub.nl/~s216887/sampl...Constructor.mp3

You hear a Roland MC-307 and a E-mu ESI 4000 turbo, mixed on a Tapco 100M.

All sorts of comments as always appreciated!

Greetz PJ

Cool

OK, got it

Very accomplished piece, reminds me a lot like Marco V, kinda along the lines of Recovered. Sounds like the shakers/constant hi hat is off slightly tho. Dunno if that is intentional. Percussion kinda reminds me of Wasteland, I have no idea why, but it does. Also, you have one major problem, your tune is only 4:36, I would like a longer version pleeze Also, one last thing, the recording sounds distorted, even though its quite quiet it still sounds as though it has been recorded at too high of a level. I especially like the bit around 1:15 - 1:20 where the whole piece fades out as though you are pulling the bass EQ away. All I can say is that this choon is very good, and I would like a longer version, or a 12" would be nice

starts off dj friendly, and not to boring either, nice percussion

then the bass kicks in, very nice work here.

round about 40secs, a synth comes in, or some sort of fx sample, whatever it is, its nice, i can just feel the track building up at this moment

1:20 synths come in again, with a nice small melody
nice synth sound man

1:50 oh yea, now its starting, synths here, are great. and a lovely melody aswell.

2:19, full on melody, nice work, but i think i heard some off notes... not sure

all in man

its a very good work

well done

WOW! Great work!
Very nice beat. I think it could have changed a bit more during the buildup. You could have thrown in some more percussion maybe or some ride cymbals. But that's just what I think, maybe it's better the way it is. The melody is great, it reminds me a bit of some of Antiloop's melodies which is not a bad thing. I agree with Poject T that it should be longer, but that's not a big problem.

Keep it up!
