That's almost DOUBLE for the higher range setup than the mid range. Now my question is, is going for the high range setup really WORTH it? Does spending 3000 dollars on the high-range setup really make an enormous difference? Thanks for any advice, and also, can anyone give some tips on going for either the DJX700 or the VXM300? Thanks guys.

I'd stick with the DJX700, for a couple of dollars more, you get alot more functions.
Hmm, 3000$ is alot of money...
If you're just a amateur-dj, I'd stick with the mid-range setup. If you're a pro and in your club, they have CDJ1000's, get the high range... There isn't that much difference between the cdj800 and the cdj1000.

my take on the situation is this....... if you play out alot in clubs or raves or other places that have equiptment there and your set up is going to remain in your bedroom / apartment or whatever then who cares, get the mid range stuff, save a few bucks and buy some more records or cds or whatever your into. however if your into throwing parties and this stuff is pretty much all your ever going to be djing on and you've got the cash then go for it. personally for me, its not worth the extra cash to upgrade to the cdj1000s or the DJM 500/600 I would rather have the mid range stuff and add a set of turntables to them and be able to play cds and records
