Hi, i didn't really know were to post this so i just decided the chill out room. Umm i have been having this problem for quite sometime. For some reason many of my mp3's just sort of die sometimes. I will click on them to play and they won't do anything. When i load them into winamp, the player doesn't play them and just skips them. And if i try to delete them it won't let me unless i change the name. Does anyone know what the problem could be. I have about 80dead mp3's on my computer
ANY HELP would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

ive been getting a lot of songs recently that will start screeching about 40 seconds into them. My guess, RIAA conspiracy releasing shitty versions. If thats true its stupid.

I recommend that you update your sound card drivers before trying anything as drastic as a format. Also, make use of this site to rule out the presence of a virus.
